just some thoughts...

There's not much new going on in the Wrights family. But, I thought I needed to update our blog anyways :) I'm tired of all the rain, I really hope it is gone by Saturday so we can go skiing! Yes, that will be interesting. My wonderful husband is going to teach me to ski...this will be a true test of our patience with each other! We'll see how it goes, I'll be sure to blog about that next week!
On another note, I have been reading 2 Corinthians and was yet again humbled by God's word. Take a look at His Holy's Spirit's power working in us! So awesome...

Olympics!!!!!!!!!

It's been a great week. Emily and Devon came to visit which is always fun! We had a nice, relaxing few days and watched a lot of Olympics!! I might be a little obsessed, I hate missing a moment! I even like the curling...GO USA!

wedding fever!

Well, it sure has been a year of weddings! In total, we have attended 7 weddings over the past 8 months. But, it's been really amazing to see God bring people together and bless their marriages! Here are some snapshots from our wedding adventures!

We had another wonderful visit with my family this past weekend. I really look forward to the day when they come to visit and don't go back north!!! It's always so sad to see them go, but I'm glad to know that God has me exactly where He wants me with my wonderful husband. Here are some pictures from the visit!

Perspective...

I can't even imagine the devastation in Haiti right now....was horrible beyond belief even before the massive earthquake yesterday. We need to pray, and pray hard. Not only for the families of those thousands upon thousands who were killed but for the basic material needs of the survivors. Pray for the volunteers providing medical care; it's going to be tough to keep a positive attitude when all they are seeing is the death toll climbing around them.

Things like this disaster really put life into perspective. I am blessed, as are you. For some reason, God chose to allow us to live a life of abundance, but He also expects us to give generously to those in need. Today we all need to ask ourselves, what will we do fulfill God's call to "take care of the widows and the orphans"? Never had we had a greater opportunity...
