Early morning photo shoot

Most mornings Weston and I are up long before anyone else in the house. So the other morning I decided I would see just how many faces I could capture. Enjoy!

Weston- 4 months

Measurements: If I had a dime for every time Weston gets called a "big boy" I would be a very rich lady!  But it's only the truth. At his appointment this morning he was 17 lbs 15 oz (89th percentile) and 26.75 inches (94th percentile). He wears 6-9 month clothing and fills out every bit of them! I have a feeling that Hudson's clothes aren't going to always fit so my hopes of not buying any new clothes may be dashed.

Eats:  Well obviously he loves to eat (see above).  I nurse on demand but it's pretty much every 3 hours although he will eat anytime I offer which is nice if we have to be somewhere.  I don't pump much but thankful that I'm still able to if I need to like when I work. No solid food yet although he grabs at my food every time I'm eating.

Sleeps: If we are home, Weston will take 3 naps a day. However, we rarely stay home an entire day because Hudson wouldn't stand for that! Thankfully Weston's pretty flexible and will nap in the car, stroller, etc. He's not sleeping great at night. I put him down around 7:30 and he's usually up sometime around 2am and then again around 5:00 or so. Usually I can get him back to sleep until about 6:30 or 7 thankfully.  The past few nights I have done a "dream feed" and he slept until closer to 4:00 so I guess that has been helping a bit.

Milestones:  Weston graduated out of the carseat when he rides in the stroller!  This makes for much happier rides for both of us...happy baby=happy momma! He does a full out belly laugh now which I absolutely love!  No rolling from back to tummy yet...too much chunk for that I guess ;)

Likes:  Just like big brother, Weston loves him Momma. No separation anxiety yet but if he's fussy with someone else I can usually always calm him down. He likes to be sung to and played with...something I'm looking forward to doing a lot more of when Hudson starts preschool tomorrow!

Dislikes:  Honestly Weston is so laid back that there's no a ton that I would say he "dislikes". Just doesn't like to be hungry or tired...other than that he's pretty content!  He doesn't love laying on the floor but thankfully he's pretty happy in the bouncer or the bumbo.

Big brother update: My big boy starts preschool tomorrow!! I'm sure that will be it's own blog post if I ever get around to it. Hudson is a very strong-willed child and we are having our share of tantrums these days. I'm hoping preschool will help with this. I think a lot of it is stemming from jealousy over Weston because Hudson constantly wants me to carry him and tells me to "put brother down". We have started talking about potty training but Hudson just isn't ready. We tried big boy underwear a few days and it was just frustrating for both of us. If I thought he was ready I would just stick with it but it almost seemed like it was giving him some anxiety to go sit on the potty. I don't want to do more harm than good at this point!

I love to compare pictures of my boys! They definitely have their own look now.

She's married!

This past week, the boys and I had the privilege of traveling to Boston for Emily's wedding.  Emily and I have been friends for 15+ years and she's more like a sister to me than just a friend. I have been looking forward to this for a long time! We were in Boston from Wednesday-Tuesday so we were able to spend lots of time with family too which was really nice. I think the best way to document the week is through pictures!

On the way to Boston, the boys and I were on the same flight as Mallory, David, and Connor. I was so thankful for the company and a few extra hands to help with the boys!

Look how content he looks??  Oh wait, these headphones lasted for about .2 seconds and then he was over it...

Hudson loves to hold his brother's hand

Enjoying Bubs and Lalla's hot tub!

Getting ready for the wedding!  She even trusted me enough to do her hair ;)

With Emily and her twin sister Diane...oh, and they have twin sisters.  Yes, there are two sets of twin girls in their family!

Isn't she the most beautiful bride??

First dance!

So thankful for time with all of these special people!

Notice that Hudson is missing his shoes.  It was an outdoor wedding and reception and his shoes stayed off the entire time.  But, at least he's wearing a shirt here...during the ceremony he was shirtless!  That's what happens when Bubs is in charge!

Weston was held by about 25 different people at the wedding...including some cousins!

My sweet cousin Samantha (and her little brother Johnny breaking it down in the background)

Weston and Connor...the best of sleeping buddies!

On Sunday we had some of the family over for lunch. These three are so much fun together!

Hudson's first lobster experience!  He wasn't at all interested in eating it though.

Not pictured...the plane ride home when Hudson was over-tired and simply over traveling.  Needless to say, it was a VERY long 2 hours.  But, it was well worth it!
Love you Emily and Boomer and Congrats!!

Weston- 3 months

Measurements: Weston continues to grow like a weed! I don't know how much he weighs but I'm anxious to find out next month at his doctor's appointment. But, I do know he's a big boy! He has quite a few 6 month outfits that are comfortable.  He has outgrown most 3 month stuff and his 3-6 is getting too short in length. I actually had to buy a few new sleepers because Hudson wore 6 month sleepers in the fall/winter so they are all thicker, fleecy material.

Eats:  Weston is nursing every 2-3 hours. Thankfully he takes a bottle no problem now! I worked a couple of long days and he didn't have a choice.  When I'm home I only nurse...who has time to pump with a crazy 2 year old to chase around?

Sleeps:  Although we aren't on a schedule, Weston definitely is a bit more predictable in his sleep now.  He generally naps about 1-1.5 hours after he wakes up in the morning. The, throughout they day, he usually stays awake for 1.5-2 hours after eating before he's ready for another nap. I try to have him in bed by 8 and he's waking usually only once a night. Although last night he slept straight through the night...woohoo!

Milestones:  Weston laughed for the first time this month!  It was just a little chuckle but baby laughs are the best! He's close to rolling from his back to his tummy but not quite there yet.  Also, Weston had his first airplane ride and he did great!

Likes:  My littlest man still likes to be held a lot. But, thankfully if he's well rested he will be content to lay on his playmate for a while. He likes to be interacted with and always smiles when he's being talked to. He is already a Momma's boy!  Chris gets frustrated at times because Weston can be super fussy but usually when I take him he calms down pretty quickly.

Dislikes:  Weston has stopped liking the swing! And he doesn't like much tummy time. He also has a big dislike for the bath!  Good thing I only remember to bathe him a few times a week ;)  Second child problems...

Big brother update: Hudson is going through another phase of separation anxiety.  I'm hoping this is a short phase because he starts preschool in September and I want it to be a pleasant experience for all of us! Thankfully Hudson is back to sleeping through the night most nights, although he still has an occasional bad night here and there. I continue to be told often how smart he is which definitely makes this Mommy proud! He is still super sweet with Weston.  Just yesterday Weston was fussy and Hudson went up to him, gave him a kiss, and said "I love you brother". I hope they grow up to be the best of friends!

Boston weekend!

This past weekend Weston and I flew to Boston for a quick trip. We got there on Friday night and on Saturday I hosted a bridal shower for my best friend Emily.  I was so happy with how it all came together!  We decorated with purple and ivory (her wedding colors) and had ice cream sundaes for our "main course". Weston got to meet some of my extended family and friends at the shower and will meet the rest of my "Northern" family when we head back for the wedding.  We flew back Monday morning to reunite with big brother and Daddy!  Weston did great on the plane which I'm so thankful for because in just 3 weeks I'll be flying back to Boston for the wedding but this time I'll have both boys in tow!  Here are some pictures from the weekend:

White Farms ice cream...the BEST!

This girl is so special to me...and our boys are just 5 weeks apart!

Thank goodness for Facetime!!  I missed this little boy so much but glad I could "see" him when we talked!
