I'm BACK!

So, I'm not sure how long this will last but I want to start blogging again!  Life is just so crazy but I know I will regret not writing things down.  I guess the best way to do this is a family update...

Hudson:  He is 3.5 going on 15.  There's no better word to describe him than strong-willed (I guess that's 2 words).  He knows what he wants, when he wants it!  We are still struggling with tantrums but they never last very long and ignoring is still the best option with him.  I continue to be amazed at how smart Hudson is.  He picks up on everything and is a little sponge.  His memory blows me away sometimes!  Hudson loves school and is learning so much.  He has pretty much given up his nap which is bittersweet.  On the one hand, he goes to bed really easily but at the same time, he goes to bed super early which is hard for me since I'm working full time.  He STILL doesn't sleep through the night hardly ever which we can't quite figure out.  Overall, he's a sweet, smart, affectionate 3 year old and I feel so blessed to be his Mommy!

Weston:  I have a feeling little brother is going to grow up to be my wild child.  He is absolutely fearless and wants to do everything his brother does!  Weston continues to be a big boy too!  He's wearing 24 month or 2T clothes at 18 months.  He isn't nearly as verbal as Hudson was at this age but I try my best not to compare them.  He does say a variety of words and seems to be learning new things daily.  He completely understands everything we say to him so I'm not concerned.  Weston, unlike his brother, is a great sleeper!  It's rare that he's up in the middle of the night.  He's still nursing 2-3 times a day and shows no signs of losing interest.  I'm ok with this since I'm almost positive he's my last baby.

I started working full time in August, teaching at Wake Forest.  I love my position but it's been a big change of pace for our family.  Chris has been awesome, picking up the pieces that I can't quite seem to juggle.  He still has his landscaping company and is on the town council so he stays busy!  He always teaches a Life Group on Wednesday evenings which has been a huge blessing.  It's great to have a group of Christian friends to "do life with".

I hope to blog on a more regular basis but for now...pictures!
